Kenya confirms 268 new COVID-19 cases, total cases rise to 6,941.

Kenya has recorded 268 positive coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, raising the total tally of confirmed cases to 6,941. Out of these new cases, 259 are Kenyans while 9 are foreigners, with 160 males, and 108 females. The youngest is a one-year-old while the oldest is 80.

The number of samples tested in the last 24 hours was 2,704 bringing the cumulative sample size to 176,059.

Health CAS Rashid Aman confirmed that 20 patients have been discharged from health facilities in the last 24 hours, raising total recoveries to 2,109.

Three more people have succumbed to Covid-19, bringing total virus deaths in the country to 152.
