COVID-19 Kenya: 278 more cases confirmed, Total tally 8,528.

Kenya’s COVID-19 infections rose to 8,528 after 278 more patients tested positive for the disease.

During a press briefing in Makueni County, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said 3,053 samples were tested within the last 24 hours, taking the total number of tests conducted since the pandemic struck the country to 196,508.

The Health CS Mutahi Kagwe reported that 89 people had been discharged from the quarantine facilities bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,593. Unfortunately, 2 people had succumbed to the disease bringing the total number of fatalities to 169.
