Gambia’s Vice President Dr. Isatou Touray tests positive for COVID19

Vice President of Gambia, Dr. Isatou Touray has tested positive for COVID19. As a result, President Adama Barrow will be self-isolating for 2 weeks.

The presidency confirmed the development on Wednesday, urging citizens to adhere to the set health guidelines in efforts to curb further spread of the disease.

The Presidents Statement did not provide any further details about Touray’s condition.

Gambia has recorded 326 cases of COVID-19, including eight deaths, the lowest totals in West Africa.
