Kenya’s Coronavirus cases rise to 26,928

Kenya has reported 492 new cases of the novel coronavirus, according to health CS Mutahi Kagwe, bringing the total number of infections to 26,928.

The cases are distributed across the country as follows: Nairobi (357), Garissa, (52), Kiambu (37), Kajiado (14), Busia (5), and Baringo (5).

534 patients have recovered from the disease bringing total number of recoveries to 13,495 so far. 56 were from various hospitals and 478 from the home-based care program

The death toll in the country reached 423 as 3 more fatalities were recorded over the past 24 hours.

Health ministry officials led by CS Kagwe Monday visited Kericho County to assess measures taken to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
