19 more succumb to Covid-19 as Kenya caseload crosses 31,000

In a press briefing on Wednesday, Health Chief Administrative Secretary Mercy Mwangangi confirmed 379 new cases of Covid-19 out of a sample size of 3,867, raising the total number of infections to 31,015.

Out of the 379 cases, 372 are Kenyans while 7 are foreigners.

223 are male while 156 are female.

The youngest is a one year old while the oldest is 87 year old.

Dr. Mwangangi said 244 more patients recovered from Covid-19, 168 from Home-Based care program, and 76 from various hospitals, taking the recoveries tally to 17,612.

19 patients have succumbed to the virus bringing our fatality to 506.

1 out of the 19 passed on at home. 18 out of the 19 had either hypertension or diabetes.
